The Tequila Sour is one of the easiest Tequila cocktails to prepare. Simply measure out all the ingredients with a jigger or bar measure and then pour the ingredients into a cocktail shaker. Do NOT add ice to the shaker. By not using ice, you can create a nice frothy crown. Shake the shaker well for about 20 seconds and then strain the drink into a tumbler filled with ice cubes. You can also use a normal small glass here. Now add a lime wedge as a garnish to the glass and serve the drink immediately! And this is how quickly and easily you can prepare the Tequila Sour at home!

The Tequila Sour is a very fruity and refreshing cocktail that was made for the summer. The drink convinces with a pleasant interplay of sweet and sour flavours. The fresh aroma is pleasantly complemented by the tart alcoholic flavours and makes for an all-round refreshing taste. This drink can of course be compared to all other sour cocktails, but also has similarities to the Margarita, Tom Collins or Gin Fizz. If you like fruity-fresh cocktails with a hint of tequila, then the Tequila Sour is made for you. Try the drink for yourself and let the unique aroma help you.

A royal head of foam thanks to the Dry Shake

To ensure that the cocktail is adorned with a beautiful head of foam, we always recommend a so-called dry shake. With a dry shake, all the ingredients are put into a shaker and shaken without ice. This gives the egg white the chance to become very foamy and fluffy. You can now either add ice in a later step and then shake again, or simply let the ice in the glass cool the liquid. And that’s how quickly and easily you can adorn cocktails with a beautiful head of foam. By the way, you can do this with all cocktails that can be prepared with an egg white, such as the Whisky Sour, Pisco Sour, Amaretto Sour or Frangelico Sour.

The little brother of the Margarita

As a cocktail, the Tequila Sour has a certain similarity to the Margarita Cocktail, both in taste and appearance. Of course, the Margarita is not made with an egg white and of course the mixing ratio is different. However, if you want to try a fresh and varied drink and you like the Margarita, you should definitely try the Tequila Sour!
