The preparation of the Continental Sour Cocktail is actually very simple. Simply add whisky, egg white, lemon juice and sugar syrup one after the other to a cocktail shaker. It is best to use a jigger. This allows you to measure out the ingredients so that you use exactly the right amount. Be careful not to add ice to the shaker when you first shake it. This allows the egg whites to be shaken to a foamy consistency. After you have shaken the shaker well for about 15 seconds, add a few ice cubes and shake the shaker again for 15 to 20 seconds.

Strain the Continental Sour through a bar strainer into a tumbler filled with ice. Now add the port to the glass. Pour the port carefully onto a bar spoon so that the spirit does not mix with the cocktail and lies as a light film on the drink. Now just garnish with a lemon zest or similar and then serve or enjoy yourself!
