The Clover Club Cocktail is a pleasant gin cocktail that combines the taste of sweet and fruity flavours with slightly sour and tart aromas. The drink is particularly suitable for the summer, but also cuts a good figure at any cocktail party because of its classic appearance. If you like refreshing drinks like the Tom Collins or Gin Fizz, you will love this drink.
Our recommendation: The egg white will put off one or two cocktail fans. However, you can also prepare the drink without protein. In that case, however, you should bear in mind that you won’t get a nice, creamy head. However, the taste of the Clover Club cocktail is still top!
Member of the Sour family since 1908
The Clover Club Cocktail is different from what you might think at first glance: it is a classic cocktail that can be counted as a member of the Sour family. The recipe for the cocktail is said to have been first mentioned in 1908. The name is derived from the club where the drink was first prepared: the Clover Club.
Over the years, the drink has fallen more and more into oblivion. Fewer and fewer amateur and professional bartenders knew the drink or prepared it. Only with the rebirth of gin did this cocktail become more and more popular. A classic drink with a fruity-fresh aroma – which is also easy to prepare. Today, this drink belongs to the classic cocktails of the Bartender Association IBA. It can be prepared for various occasions, cocktail parties, birthdays, farewell parties or anniversaries. What are you waiting for? Try the Clover Club cocktail yourself, prepare it for your friends and enjoy an unforgettable cocktail at your home!
